Cassady shares her journey from struggling with her dogs to finding a framework and methodology for achieving specific results with her beloved dog Sailor.
Cassady's mother introduced her to Dan and Natasha in 2016 when she was struggling with her Australian shepherd puppies. Despite growing up with dogs, Cassady found herself unable to handle the challenges of training on her own. After a critical incident at Chrissy Field in San Francisco, Cassady realized she needed professional help and reached out to Dan.
Before training with Dan, Sailor was a highly opinionated and eager-to-please dog with triggers that led to potentially dangerous situations. Cassady struggled to manage Sailor's personality and behaviors, especially around children. However, with Dan's training methods, Cassady learned to identify Sailor's triggers and maintain control over her reactions. As a result, their relationship improved, and Sailor became more manageable in various situations, including walking off-leash in San Francisco.
Cassady's training with Dan was not a quick fix but a continuous process of learning and growth. Like maintaining a healthy lifestyle, dog training requires consistent effort and practice to keep up the progress. Despite Sailor's improvements, Cassady acknowledges that there is still room for growth and ongoing maintenance in their training journey.
Cassady's journey with Sailor and Dan Perata highlights the importance of professional dog training and ongoing commitment to maintaining positive behaviors. Through dedication and perseverance, Cassady was able to transform her relationship with Sailor and create a harmonious bond based on trust and understanding. If you're facing challenges with dog training, seeking help from experts like Dan Perata can make a significant difference in your pet's behavior and your relationship with them.
